Zaman\u2019s right knee\u2019s posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury rendered him ineligible. Due to this specific injury, he wasn\u2019t a member of the initial team and was instead picked as a replacement while still recovering.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFakhar and the team understood the risks of coming into the tournament\u201d as per Pakistan team doctor Najeebullah Soomro.<\/p>\n<section class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\n<p class=\"cb-nws-para\">\u201cWe were aware of the risks of the comeback,\u201d Soomro said. \u201cHe is obviously an important player for the team. The player, the medical staff and the team management were aware of that. We decided to bring him back in. In cricket, and any sport, we take risks. Sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don\u2019t.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\n<p class=\"cb-nws-para\">\u201cObviously with any knee injury it takes time to have 100% recovery. Fakhar and the team understood the risks of coming into the tournament and we got him in.
