I know it was aimed at the rival team and it wasn\u2019t something against me \u2014 but as a Muslim, it doesn\u2019t stop being a lack of respect and something intolerable.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">I understand that not all the fans are like that\u2026 but to those who sing these things: using a religion as a joke in a stadium makes you look like ignorant and racist people.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Football is for enjoying it and cheering, not for disrespecting people for who they are or what they believe in.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">That said, thanks to the people who came to cheer us on, see you at the World Cup.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Context of the Incident<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">The chants, reportedly variations of \u201cWhoever doesn\u2019t jump is a Muslim\u201d or similar, were directed at the Egyptian team during the first half.
