David Raya has sent shockwaves through the football world after revealing he was on the verge of joining another European giant before sealing his move to Arsenal.<\/p>\n
Speaking in an interview relayed by Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish goalkeeper admitted that his career could have taken a completely different turn. Raya disclosed that he was \u201cvery close\u201d to joining another club before Arsenal stepped in with a decisive offer.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was very close to go to another club before joining Arsenal\u2026 and luckily that didn\u2019t happen, so Arsenal made the bid,\u201d Raya said.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old then revealed the identity of the club he nearly signed for, FC Bayern Munich. The German giants had shown strong interest in securing Raya\u2019s services as they searched for stability between the posts.<\/p>\n
