Kolkata Knight Riders have been dealt a major setback ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season, with young Indian fast bowler Harshit Rana ruled out after suffering a knee injury. The promising pacer recently underwent surgery and is expected to spend a considerable period in rehabilitation, which could keep him out for a large part of the tournament. Missing back-to-back major tournaments at such a young age\u00a0 including the recent ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup and now IPL 2026\u00a0 could be a frustrating phase for the talented pacer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rana\u2019s absence is a significant concern for Kolkata, as the young fast bowler has become an important part of their pace attack in recent seasons.
