The men\u2019s T20 team will continue to be captained by Finch, who has participated in 145 ODI games with 54 of them as captain.<\/p>\n<p>The 2015 World Cup champion, Finch, made his ODI debut in 2013 and scored 5041 runs at an average of 39.13, with 17 hundreds and 30 fifties. But the Australian opener has recently struggled with a string of poor performances.<\/p>\n<section class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\n<p class=\"cb-nws-para\">\u201cIt has been a fantastic ride with some incredible memories,\u201d Finch said. \u201cI have been extremely fortunate to be a part of some brilliant one-day sides. Equally, I have been blessed by all those I have played with and the many people behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<div class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\u201cIt is time now to give a new leader the best possible opportunity to prepare for and win the next World Cup. I thank all of those who have helped and supported my journey to this point.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\n<section class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\n<p class=\"cb-nws-para\">Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said \u201cOn behalf of Australian Cricket, I would like to congratulate Aaron on his vast contribution as captain of the Australian Men\u2019s ODI team and as a wonderful exponent of the 50-over format.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\n<p class=\"cb-nws-para\">\u201cAaron is an enormously gifted and determined player whose outstanding deeds with the bat have been matched by his strong and inspiring leadership.
