The incident occurred in the 12th over when Mohammad Nawaz delivered a slower ball that turned in from around off. Suryakumar attempted a sweep but was beaten by the pace of the delivery. The ball pitched behind his legs and struck him on the back pad, prompting a loud appeal from Pakistan.<\/p>\n
On-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena ruled the batter not out. Pakistan opted for a review.<\/p>\n
Ball-tracking later showed the delivery was clipping the leg stump. However, with the original decision given not out, the verdict remained in Suryakumar\u2019s favour under umpire\u2019s call. The review was retained by Pakistan.<\/p>\n
