India opener Ishan Kishan required medical attention after an incident in the eighth over of the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026 Group A clash against Pakistan at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The moment occurred on the fifth delivery of the eighth over when Shadab Khan bowled a slow, tossed-up delivery at the stumps. Kishan attempted a reverse sweep but lost his balance while executing the shot. The ball was dragged past short third, and the batters completed two runs as a diving fielder managed to get a hand to it, taking pace off the ball before it was cut off in the deep.<\/p>\n
Following the play, Kishan went down on the ground and received treatment from the team physio. He was seen lying on his back while his right leg was being stretched.<\/p>\n
At the time of the incident, India were 82 for 1 in 8 overs, with Kishan batting on 72 off 37 deliveries.<\/p>\n
