Neeraj Chopra can no longer compete in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games because of an injury he sustained at the Athletics World Championships last week.<\/p>\n
Chopra has won silver with a throw of 88.13 metres at the recently finished 2022 World Athletics Championships. Chopra competed in the finals while wearing a brace on his injured groyne. As per Sportstar,<\/em>\u00a0Chopra has been told to take a month off. Due to an elbow injury that ultimately required surgery, Chopra previously missed the entire 2019 season.<\/p>\n After Anju Bobby George\u2019s bronze medal in 2003, Chopra is the second Indian to bring home a medal at the Worlds. He has recently been in fantastic shape. A national record was set by a throw of 89.30 metres in the Paavo Nurmi games.
