Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of India, praised Jhulan Goswami on Tuesday, adding that \u201cnobody can fill her shoes\u201d due to her unrivalled devotion for the game.<\/p>\n
After the third and final ODI against England at Lord\u2019s on September 24, the 39-year-old, who has amassed the most wickets in international cricket over the course of a career spanning more than two decades, plans to retire.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe goes to every game with the same kind of passion which is unmatched, nobody can beat that,\u201d Harmanpreet said in a media interaction here on the eve of their departure for their white-ball series in England.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I made my debut she was the captain, it\u2019s a great opportunity for me that I would be leading the side when she would be playing her last ODI. When I entered the team, she was the one who was leading from the front. I\u2019ve learnt a lot from her. Nobody can fill in her shoes.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s someone who always puts in the same kind of effort, bowling two-three hours She still puts in the same kind of hard work she used to during her early days\u2026 I\u2019ve never seen her make any changes to her practice regimen.\u201d \u201cYou hardly see any bowler doing like that, or even at the nets while batting\u2026 Nobody can bring that passion she has for cricket. \u201cAs a cricketer and a person, I\u2019ve learnt a lot from her. She\u2019s a great example for all of us.
