The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the schedule for England\u2019s Test tour of Pakistan in December of this year. The three-match series, which counts toward the World Test Championship, will be played at Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi.<\/p>\n

The three Tests will mark the second phase of England\u2019s tour and will mark the first Test series played in Pakistan in 17 years. From September 20 to October 2, seven T20Is that make up the first leg will be contested in Karachi and Lahore.<\/p>\n

Clare Connor, ECB\u2019s Interim Chief Executive Officer, added: \u201cThe return of our men\u2019s Test team to Pakistan for the first time since 2005 will be a historic occasion. The opportunity to play Test cricket in front of passionate cricket-lovers in Pakistan after such a long time is something to be cherished. We have been working closely with the PCB over recent months and I am grateful to them for everything they have done, and continue to do, to make our Test and T20 tours a mouth-watering prospect for all involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

In November and December of 2005, England last visited Pakistan, and the country defeated the visitors 2-0. The third test was won by the Nasser Hussain-led squad in Multan in 2000, ending the series 1-0 and giving England its last Test victory in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
