Dhawan or Hardik is also expected to captain India in the two-match T20I series against Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessupturn.com\/?s=K+l+Rahul\">KL Rahul<\/a>, elite pacer Jasprit Bumrah, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, and former captain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessupturn.com\/?s=Virat+Kohli\">Virat Kohli<\/a> are all expected to be rested for the series against South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe selectors have a couple of choices. Shikhar Dhawan, as he has already captained India in absence of Virat, Rohit and Rahul during last year\u2019s Sri Lanka series. But Hardik Pandya\u2019s impressive captaincy for Gujarat Titans hasn\u2019t gone unnoticed. So it will be a close call,\u201d a senior <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessupturn.com\/?s=BCCI\">BCCI<\/a> source familiar with the development told PTI on requesting anonymity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll the senior India players will get at least three and half weeks of complete rest.
