With the bat, his unbeaten 175 moved him up to 37th from 54th, while with the ball, he added nine wickets to move up to 17th.<\/p>\n<p>Coming in at No. 7, Jadeja scored his second Test century and forged long partnerships to help India reach 8-574 after electing to bat first.<\/p>\n<p>Since his debut in 2012, he has appeared in 58 Tests for India, amassing 2,370 runs at a 36.46 average. He has 241 wickets to his credit, with ten five-wicket hauls.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ashwin passed Kapil Dev on India\u2019s all-time Test wicket-taking record with six wickets in the same match, putting him second behind only Anil Kumble.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody has ever taken 10 wickets in a Test match while also scoring 150 runs, although it was the sixth time a male Test player has scored 150 runs while also taking five wickets in an innings, and the first since Mushtaq Mohammad\u2019s 201 and 5-49 against New Zealand in 1973.<\/p>\n<p>Jadeja is one of just three players in history to score more than 2000 Test runs at 30 or above and more than 200 Test wickets at less than 25.
