Rohit Sharma opens up about his captaincy role in an episode of \u2018Backstage with Boria\u2019 with journalist Mr. Boria Majumdar interviewing the current Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.<\/p>\n
Rohit Sharma revealed that a captain should take the back seat and should boost its players to perform well in their respective fields and when it comes to performance, the captain should always try to remain at the front leading the team with a successful example in the game.<\/p>\n
Rohit continued and added that a captain is appreciated when the team wins and similarly gets blamed and called a \u2018horrible\u2019 captain when the team loses, which according to the skipper is wrong. Rohit suggested by concluding that the world looks at the captain with wrong expectations as the captain is there to make sure that the right players are playing with a balanced combination which is important for the team.<\/p>\n

Rohit has recently clinched an ODI series win against West Indies in Ahmedabad and seems to continue aggressively well. Rohit was witnessed changing his game plans and bowlers throughout the game and never let the game slip away from the hands of team India in the second ODI on Wednesday which the hosts won by a margin of 45 runs.<\/p>\n
Rohit can probably be announced the official skipper for all the three formats as Virat has decided to step down from the T20 and Test captaincy and with BCCI snatching away his role in the ODI format as well, Rohit might be the next deserving candidate to lead the team India in all the formats.<\/p>\n
