India has already secured two medals in the compound women and mixed finals. One of the biggest upsets in the Championships was when India\u2019s 23-year-old Ankita held her nerves to knock out the Korean World No. 4 Kang Chaw-Young who had won Olympic gold in the team event at the recent Tokyo Olympic Games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ankita had dropped just one set in the victory over the Korean heavyweight 6-4 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0(29-28, 28-28, 27-27, 24-29, 29-28) and now makes her way into the quarter-finals to face off against the USA\u2019s Casey Kaufhold. Ankita took the start of the tie in spectacular fashion while shooting two 10s to tally it to 29 out of 30 to put pressure on the reigning Olympic team champion. Ankita held on to the slight lead that she had built to make it to the fourth set shooting in the reed ring with 8,8,8 while Chae-Young could only produce the best result of X,10 and 9.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jyothi Surekha and Abhishek Verma have also made it through o the final eight. The reigning World Cup gold medallist Abhishek Verma had produced two perfect rounds as he went on to beat Solvakis\u2019s Jozef Bosanky 145-142 (29-28, 30-27, 28-29, 30-29, 28-29).
