Sharad who places third in the T42 men\u2019s high jump on the 31st of August was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after he had complained of chest contractions last week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">tuff times, makes us tuffer. Since I live just 10 minutes away, I had asked the hospital authorities to allow me to go home,\u2019 he added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old who now stays in Chhatarpur was discharged from the hospital facility earlier this week but was called back for further more tests and is yet to receive the reports of it. Sharad was administered a spurious polio vaccine as a toddler has his leg paralysed. Despite suffering from a knee injury in training a day before his Olympic event, Sharad went on to compete in the Games and claimed a third-place finish to secure a bronze medal. He later revealed that he had thoughts of pulling out of the competition due to a last-minute injury.
