On Monday, Brendan Taylor came up with a confession statement via his personal Twitter account. Former captain of Zimbabwe team Brendan Taylor was involved in spot-fixing via an Indian businessman. The celebratory event led to the men offering Taylor some cocaine which was foolishly accepted by Taylor. The men then blackmailed Taylor with the cocaine-snorting video and asked him to deal with the intention of spot-fixing.<\/p>\n
The incident was in October 2019 and has been witnessed by the fans lately but BCCI\u2019s Anti-Corruption Unit had a brief idea of the situation and remain unsurprised with the heating talks going around.<\/p>\n
BCCI\u2019s ACU commented that the matter was not new as this old incident happened in 2019 which the department is aware of. Further speaking, BCCI ACU\u2019s Chief Khandwawala reported to TOI that the ICC is continuing with the inquiry process to conclude.<\/p>\n
Chief Khandwawala avoided the talks over \u201cspot-fixing\u201d in cricket and concluded his statement by quoting that blames are from both sides. As the fans and viewers are aware of the $15,000 deposit given to Taylor, the other party has also come in front with the claim that Taylor had received $40,000 which was never returned. The money was taken to be part of a T20 tournament in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n
