Marais Erasmus umpires for his 100th men One Day International, being the on-field umpire. \u2018ICC Elite Panel of Umpires\u2019 member Erasmus completed the record of 100 matches while umpiring in the first ODI between South Africa and India in Paarl.<\/p>\n
Adrian Griffith, ICC Senior Manager of Umpires and Referees quoted that he appreciates Erasmus\u2019s performance as an umpire and compliments him to be fact fully consistent with a \u2018fine temperament.\u2019 Adrian adds that he undoubtedly thinks Erasmus will contribute much more and congratulates him as Erasmus inspires a lot with his responsibility.<\/p>\n
Having made his debut in 2006, the 57-year old calm umpire has also won ICC Umpire of the Year awards in 2016 and 2017 respectively. He was an official umpire in 70 Test matches for men, 35 T20s for men and also 18 women\u2019s games in T20 format.<\/p>\n
Erasmus before his 100th ODI quoted that he is thankful to International Cricket Council, Cricket South Africa, and all his well-wishers for their support. He is honored to make the record of the 100th ODI and promises to continue to make such memorable records as he loves doing it.<\/p>\n

Being a player, Erasmus made his start for team Boland during 1988-89 and had a positive career till 1997. Having scored 1913 runs and taken 131 wickets in 53 first-class matches he had a good recorded career.
