Kolkata Knight Riders have roped in India\u2019s former bowling coach and Test cricketer Bharat Arun. On Friday, the CEO and MD of KKR, Mr. Venky Mysore, made the official announcement and was excited to bring Arun on board. Arun\u2019s experience and expertise will be a massive advantage for KKR.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very excited to have someone of the caliber of Bharat Arun joining us as our bowling coach,\u201d said Venky Mysore.<\/p>\n
Bharat Arun was an impressive player for Tamil Nadu and had a very successful domestic record. He represented India in four ODIs and two Tests before starting his coaching career.<\/p>\n
As a Coach, Arun had a steady journey; he began his coaching career with the Tamil Nadu domestic squad before moving on to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore as the chief bowling coach. He later became the head coach of the India Under-19 team, who won the 2012 U-19 World Cup in Australia. He was then the bowling coach of the Senior Indian Team until recently, under Ravi Shastri. While part of the Indian coaching staff, Arun worked on the skillset of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Umesh Yadav and has helped the Indian bowling unit evolve.<\/p>\n

With Arun\u2019s expertise in the bowling department, it will be very beneficial for the side to have him on board.
