Andy Flower, the former Zimbabwean player and the chief coach of PKS is considered the frontrunner for the Lucknow franchise\u2019s coaching role. He is expected to be inducted into the newly franchise along with the PKS\u2019s skipper KL Rahul for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).<\/p>\n
England won their very first T-2o world Cup in 2010 under his coaching, he also helped England acquire the first spot in ICC test ranking. His experience will definetly help the newly inducted franchise organise their core team.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Sanjeev Goenka led RP-SG group won the ownership of the Lucknow franchise at a huge price of RS 7090 Crores. There is a lot of speculation going on for the coaching role, Gary Kirsten, who helped India win the ICC men\u2019s ODI World Cup in 2011 is also considered for the coaching role. Besides, Former Indian left hand pacer, Aashish Nehra and Daniel Vittori, former New Zealnad\u2019s spinner is also in the race to join Lucknow franchise.<\/p>\n
As per the latest report by PTI, there is no confirmation on any of the names above but Andy Flower is likely to win the race for the chief coach role.<\/p>\n
