However, India women\u2019s team won the close match against England by 8 runs.<\/p>\n<p>The ICC release shows that the penalty was imposed by match referee Phil Whitticase after Harmanpreet Kaur\u2019s side had been one over short after taking time allowances into account.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 percent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time,\u201d the ICC release said.<\/p>\n<p>Harmanpreet Kaur pleaded guilty and agreed to the proposed penalty so that a formal hearing was not necessary.
