Australian cricketer Peter Handscomb tested positive for Covid-19 and was forced to miss his nation\u2019s match in England against Leicestershire.<\/p>\n
Handscomb has been heading Middlesex for the season and couldn\u2019t give his attendance for their Championship Group Two game which was scheduled for Sunday. He was compelled to isolate himself following the positive result.<\/p>\n
\u201cIrishman Tim Murtagh stepped up to fill in for Handscomb as skipper, as Middlesex ended day one of the clash with Leicestershire at 3-280,\u201d said a reporter in \u2018The West Australian.\u2019<\/p>\n
The Australian, Handscomb is not going promising with his form of a run. He failed to strike the 50-run mark in 13 innings for Middlesex. He has stumbled off the radar of the national pickers. He previously appeared in a Test in Sidney against India in January 2019. His last T20 match\u2019s opponent was also India at Bengaluru in February 2019.<\/p>\n
