On Thursday, India\u2019s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal said that he is focusing more on his variations and angles and one would \u201csee a more confident Yuzi\u201d in the upcoming limited over series against Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
In the virtual press conference on the announcement of title sponsors For India\u2019s tour of Sri Lanka, he said, \u201cI have a couple of variations and I\u2019m focusing on that only, not using other deliveries. You will see a more confident Yuzi in the series.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added, \u201d I am working on my angles and in general trying to bowl more.\u201d Chahal returns to the ODI after so long time and said that his side focus was on the upcoming limited-over series against Sri Lanka before he could turn his attention to the IPL (Indian Premier League) and the T20 World Cup. In the press conference, he further said, \u201cMy performance \u2013 I don\u2019t think it was a dip (in form) or anything. I will try my level best. This series is very important to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
When Chahal was asked about adjusting the ODIs after having primarily played only T20s in the last six months or so, he replied by saying that it won\u2019t be a problem for him. Shikhar Dhawan-led India team will play three ODIs on July 13, 16 and 18 respectively, followed by as many T20Is on July 21, 23 and 25.<\/p>\n
As per Mohan de Silva, the secretary of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), this series is for the preparation for the T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman.
