An all-round effort from Uttar Pradesh saw it being defeat Gujarat by five wickets in the first semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.<\/p>\n
After being asked to bowl after losing the toss, Uttar Pradesh restricted Gujarat to 184 in 48.1 overs. Yash Dayal stood out with figures of 3 for 34 while Aaqib Khan claimed 2 for 22 in his 10 overs.<\/p>\n
Uttar Pradesh\u2019s chase was led by a half-century from Akshdeep Nath who scored 71 off 104 deliveries as UP easily clinched victory in the Vijay Hazare Trophy semi-finals.<\/p>\n
While UP did fall into trouble as they were 45 for three as Madhav Kaushik, Samarth Singh and Priyam Garg fell cheaply. However, a fourth-wicket stand of 89 between Nath and UP skipper Karan Sharma (38) put Gujarat out of the contest.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Gujarat was all out for 184 after winning the toss and deciding to bat first in the semis. Het Patel top-scored with 60 and Chawla contributed 32 but the rest of the batting line-up faltered miserably.<\/p>\n
