Sneh Rana, an Indian off-spinner, has been named Mooney\u2019s deputy.<\/p>\n<p>Mooney, 29, has a stellar record in Twenty20 Internationals, scoring 2350 runs in 83 matches at a stellar average of 40.51 and a strike rate of 124.60. She has two international hundreds and 18 fifties in the format, the most recent of which came in the recently concluded Women\u2019s T20 World Cup final against South Africa, where Australia completed a historic second hat-trick of titles thanks to her Player of the Match performance of 74*. (53 balls).<\/p>\n<section class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\n<p class=\"cb-nws-para\">\u201cI am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead Gujarat Giants in the historic Women\u2019s Premier League\u2019s inaugural edition in 2023,\u201d said Mooney in a statement released by the franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Mooney has three Women\u2019s Big Bash League titles to go with her three World Cup trophies and a Commonwealth Games gold.<\/p>\n<section class=\"cb-nws-dtl-itms\">\n<p class=\"cb-nws-para\">\u201cThe squad is keen to get the ball rolling soon and put out an entertaining and effective brand of cricket in the debut season of WPL which will hopefully lead us to the trophy.
