Richarlison scored after just seven minutes of play when Ajax winger Antony sent him in on goal, and inside the box, the Everton star beat Florian Muller in the net. Richarlison went on to score his second goal of the match just 15 minutes later, heading home Arana\u2019s cross and left his German counterparts flat-footed. Richarlison then went on to become the first Premier League player to score a hat-trick at the Olympics, after collecting Matheus Cunha\u2019s pass and curling it into Muller\u2019s net on the half-hour mark.<\/p>\n
Cunha\u2019s penalty in first-half stoppage time could have made it 4-0 just before halftime, but Muller saved the penalty. German forward Nadiem Amiri managed an unlikely goal back through Santos\u2019 error, as the Brazilian keeper could not stop Amiri\u2019s weak volleyed attempt. However, even after a lifeline was granted, the Germans were reduced to 10 men after Max Arnold was harshly punished for a second bookable offence, meaning Stefan Kuntz\u2019s men faced an uphill battle. Brazil continued to threaten but Germany scored another goal in the 83rd minute after substitute Ragnar Ache reduced the deficit to one.<\/p>\n
