Yet another case of the virus has been reported just days ahead before the beginning of the Tokyo Games that are scheduled to be started this week on July 23.\u00a0 A beach volleyball player from Czech namely, Ondrej Perusic has contacted the COVID-19 virus in the Olympic village of Tokyo. The officials informed about the positive case of the Czech player after two footballers from South Africa and an analyst were learned to be contaminated at the complex.<\/p>\n
Ondrej Perusic is now the fourth person to be affected by the virus at the Tokyo Olympics village, which was delayed due to the global pandemic situation.<\/p>\n
Perusic delivered \u201ca positive sample during everyday testing in the Olympic village on Sunday, July 18\u2033, said Martin Doktor, the Czech Olympic team head in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201d He has absolutely no symptoms. We are dealing with all the details and \u2026..naturally, the anti-epidemic measures within the team,\u201d added the Czech Olympic team head.<\/p>\n
Doktor told that the team was attempting the suspension of Perusic\u2019s first game at the Olympics planned for July 26 with his teammate David Schweiner.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are now looking into the possibility of postponing the games or other options that would allow the boys to start the tournament later on,\u201d he said further.<\/p>\n
The Czech Olympic Committee had reported on Saturday about their staff member being positive for the virus while they arrived in Tokyo for the event.<\/p>\n
