Four-time Olympic champion Mo Farah\u2019s hopes of ending his track career at the Tokyo Games as he couldn\u2019t qualify for the 10,000 metres in Manchester on Friday. He won a specially-arranged race to give him a final chance to qualify at the British Championships, unfortunately, his time of 27 minutes 27 seconds was nearly 20 seconds behind the time required to qualify.<\/p>\n
Sir Farah had won the 5,000 metre \u2013 10,000 metres double at the London Olympics in 2012 and repeated the feat four years later in Rio de Janerio. After then, he turned his attention to the marathon, but after fixed results returned to the track in the hope of one final shot at Olympic glory. Sir Farah said, \u201cI\u2019ve been lucky enough to have had the long career I\u2019ve had. I\u2019m very grateful but that\u2019s all I had today.\u201d He had refused to confirm if he had just run his final track race.<\/p>\n
