Despite a promising start and flashes of brilliance over the years, the former India opener has struggled to find consistency in recent seasons, which appears to have weighed on franchise decisions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"868\">In his IPL career so far, Shaw has played <strong data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"657\">79 matches<\/strong>, scoring <strong data-start=\"667\" data-end=\"681\">1,892 runs<\/strong> at an average of <strong data-start=\"699\" data-end=\"708\">23.95<\/strong> and a healthy strike rate of <strong data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"748\">147.47<\/strong>. He has registered <strong data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"789\">14 half-centuries<\/strong>, with a highest score of <strong data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"821\">99<\/strong>, narrowly missing out on a maiden IPL hundred.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"1230\">Shaw\u2019s best season came in <strong data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"909\">IPL 2021<\/strong>, when he scored <strong data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"952\">479 runs in 15 matches<\/strong> at an average of <strong data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"979\">31.93<\/strong> and a strike rate of <strong data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1011\">159.13<\/strong>, finishing as the <strong data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1060\">seventh-highest run-scorer<\/strong> that year. He also created history in that season by becoming only the <strong data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1198\">second batter in IPL history to hit six fours in a single over<\/strong>, against Kolkata Knight Riders.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1499\">However, his form dipped sharply in the <strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1297\">2023 and 2024 seasons<\/strong>, where fitness concerns and inconsistency limited his impact. Delhi Capitals eventually released him, and Shaw went unsold in the <strong data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1453\">IPL 2025 mega auction<\/strong>, leaving him without a franchise last season.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1501\" data-end=\"1816\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Since then, Shaw has shifted his <strong data-start=\"1534\" data-end=\"1586\">domestic cricket base from Mumbai to Maharashtra<\/strong> in an effort to revive his career and regain rhythm.
