After Islamabad United\u2019s player Fawad Ahmed tested positive for Covid-19, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Islamabad and Quetta Gladiators has been postponed to Tuesday. Islamabad informed that Fawad has been isolated after the result came out. His other team members returned negative reports.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of our players,\u00a0Fawad Ahmed\u00a0tested positive for Covid and was immediately put in isolation 2 days ago. All other Islamabad United players and members have tested negative and have been cleared to play. We wish Fawad a speedy recovery,\u201d Islamabad United tweeted.<\/p>\n
The match was supposed to start at 7.30 pm on Monday but was delayed by two hours before officially postponing the match. \u201cQuetta Gladiators-Islamabad United match rescheduled for Tuesday, 2 March, at 7 pm PKT. More details to follow shortly,\u201d Pakistan Cricket wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n
\u201cA player from one of the sides featuring in this evening\u2019s match has tested positive. The player had shown symptoms two days ago and had been immediately isolated. Members of his side have tested negative while the players of the other side are being tested,\u201d PCB added.<\/p>\n
The PCB confirmed that the players from the other teams have also been tested. Fawad took his Twitter handle to thank his followers and asked everyone to stay safe.<\/p>\n
