The auction will be held on <strong data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"497\">Tuesday, December 16<\/strong>, at the <strong data-start=\"506\" data-end=\"535\">Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi<\/strong>, making it one of the biggest overseas IPL auction events conducted by the league.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"886\">According to the IPL media advisory, the auction will begin at <strong data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"703\">1:00 PM UAE time<\/strong>, which corresponds to <strong data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"741\">2:30 PM IST<\/strong>. Franchises will compete for <strong data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"789\">77 total slots<\/strong>, including <strong data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"826\">31 overseas positions<\/strong>, as they restructure their squads ahead of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"1210\">A total of <strong data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"927\">1,390 players registered<\/strong> for the auction originally, out of which the list has been trimmed to <strong data-start=\"998\" data-end=\"1005\">350<\/strong> \u2014 featuring <strong data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1032\">240 Indian<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1053\">110 overseas<\/strong> players.
