On Sunday, Gujarat beat Baroda by 40 runs to remain unbeaten in the league stage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.<\/p>\n
Earlier Gujarat won toss and opted to bat, Gujarat posted 277 for 7 riding on opener Dhruv Raval\u2019s 102 off 129 balls and restricted the opposition to 237 for 9.<\/p>\n
Earlier Chhattisgarh, Goa, Tripura and Hyderabad got defeated by Gujarat. However, this was Baroda\u2019s first loss in the tournament.<\/p>\n
Gujarat did not have the best of the start as they lost opener Priyank Panchal (2) and Chirag Gandhi (12) early. While Panchal got defeated by pacer Atit Sheth (3\/53), Gandhi was caught by Abhimanyusingh Rajput off Babashafi Pathan (2\/47).<\/p>\n
Yet left-handed batsman Raval took charge and anchored the innings. Afterwards a quick-fire 22 off nine balls by Chintan Gaja helped Gujarat go past the 275-run mark.<\/p>\n
Earlier chasing 278, Baroda lost opener Kedav Devdhar (17). By taking 3 wickets in quick succession Gujarat pegged back Baroda as they slipped to 135 for 4.<\/p>\n
As Baroda lost half of their side for 154, Chawla trapped Patel in front of the Wicket. It was difficult task which eventually ended at 237 for 9<\/p>\n
Pacer Chintan Gaja (2\/40) and Arzan Nagwaswalla (2\/47) played their roles to perfectly.<\/p>\n
