The move comes after Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings lost Jake Fraser-McGurk and Jamie Overton, respectively, with both players choosing not to return to India.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"772\">As per a memo sent to all teams, franchises can now sign replacements, but these players will not be eligible for retention ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. They will be required to enter the next player auction pool since they weren\u2019t originally picked during the Jeddah auction last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"930\">\u201cTemporary Replacement Players will be allowed until the conclusion of this tournament\u2026 but they must re-enter the auction for IPL 2026,\u201d the memo stated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"1117\">Delhi Capitals have already signed Mustafizur Rahman for \u20b96 crore as Fraser-McGurk\u2019s replacement.
