The updated rules, shared with all franchise captains and managements, aim to streamline procedures in the event of a tied match.<\/p>\n<p>As per the guidelines, <strong>a one-hour window has been allocated to determine the result through Super Overs<\/strong>. Within this timeframe, multiple Super Overs can be played until a winner is decided. The first Super Over must commence within 10 minutes of the match\u2019s conclusion. If it results in a tie, a subsequent Super Over must begin within five minutes.<\/p>\n<p>In the event of repeated ties, the process will continue until a winner is decided or the one-hour limit is about to be breached. In such cases, the match referee will inform both teams which Super Over will be the final one permitted.<\/p>\n<p>Each Super Over will follow standard rules \u2014 teams get six deliveries each, and the side scoring the most runs wins. A team\u2019s Super Over innings ends if two wickets fall. Importantly, the team that batted second in the main match will bat first in the Super Over.<\/p>\n<p>The BCCI has introduced <strong>several restrictions<\/strong> for consecutive Super Overs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A batter dismissed in one Super Over is ineligible for the next.<\/li>\n<li>A bowler used in one Super Over cannot bowl in the following one.<\/li>\n<li>Teams must alternate bowling ends in each Super Over.<\/li>\n<li>Balls must be selected from a box of previously used match balls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each team will be allowed <strong>one unsuccessful player review<\/strong> per Super Over.
