Olivia Podmore who was a track cyclist and represented her country New Zealand in the Rio Olympics and Commonwealth Games 2018 has died at the age of 24.<\/p>\n
Concerns were raised when she posted a message about struggle and fight but the post was deleted after some time. She was a reputed Cyclist for her Country. Police were called soon after she was found dead at her home in Cambridge, near Hamilton. Discussions are going with the government to give some liberty out of the strict quarantine measures that are followed in the Country to attend Padmore\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n
Raelene Castle the Chief executive of New Zealand claimed that she reached out for support before her death. Also when asked by Jacques Landry that if the organisation have done enough to support and motivate the players mentally as well as financially then he replied that \u201cThe sport is questioning this for a long time. She had a lot of people supporting her through her career, We\u2019re now just looking back \u2026 and want to take a step back and review that,\u201d as per Sportstar.<\/p>\n
Her Olympic mate and two-time Rowing Gold medalist was broken by this news and said \u201cWe\u2019ve lost a sister, a friend, and a fighter who lost that will of a fight inside of her,\u201d she was happy and smiling and that he had no cause to be concerned for her well-being he further added as per Sportstar.<\/p>\n
