Former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra expressed his views over the recent Indian bowler\u2019s performances. He criticized them for bowling too many no-balls against England in the first Test in Chennai.<\/p>\n
There was not a single bowler of the Indian team who was not the p[art of the no-balls contribution. The hosts delivered a total of 27 no-balls, with spinners taking the front with 14 of them. Ashish Nehra speaks up on Star Sports that bowling too many no-balls in international cricket is unacceptable.<\/p>\n
\u201cBowling so many no-balls is unacceptable in any form of the game, forget international cricket. You are not talking about under-14 or under-16 here, this is international cricket. It is not that one bowler bowled the no-balls. At times, one bowler is not in rhythm and bowls 15 of the 20 no-balls. I can understand that but every bowler bowled no-balls which is definitely unacceptable, there is no doubt about that,\u201d said Nehra.<\/p>\n
The pacer highlighted the fortune of India as not a single batsman dismissed in the no-ball. The England team lost most of the wickets against the spinners, even though they didn\u2019t get trapped in the no-ball.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndia has to improve a lot in that. They were saved this time that no wicket fell off a no-ball. A wicket can be very important if the Test match is in a crucial phase and that time you will curse yourself a lot,\u201d added Ashish Nehra.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a three-day gap in between. They will practice for at least one day. So it is the responsibility of the players themselves because everyone is experienced here- Ishant Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, and whoever else plays, whether it is Axar Patel, Shahbaz Nadeem, or Kuldeep- the team management and captain also needs to talk to them that whenever they are practicing in the nets, they should not be bowling no-balls,\u201d Nehra further said<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
