{"id":19792,"date":"2022-05-04T17:00:19","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T11:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.businessupturn.com\/sports\/?p=218950"},"modified":"2022-05-04T17:00:19","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T11:30:19","slug":"bcci-bans-boria-majumdar-for-threatening-and-intimidating-wriddhiman-saha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.businessupturn.com\/sports\/cricket\/ipl\/bcci-bans-boria-majumdar-for-threatening-and-intimidating-wriddhiman-saha\/","title":{"rendered":"BCCI bans Boria Majumdar for threatening and intimidating Wriddhiman Saha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For threatening cricketer Wriddhiman Saha, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has enforced a two-year ban on journalist Boria Majumdar.<\/p>\n<p>Majumdar was found guilty of threatening and bullying Indian wicketkeeper-batsman by a three-member committee set up by the BCCI.<\/p>\n<p>The BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal, and councillor Prabhtej Singh Bhatia agreed with Saha\u2019s charges against Majumdar and advised to the BCCI Apex Committee that now the journalist be \u2013 Banned from getting accreditation as a member of the press in any match (domestic or international) in India, banned from getting any interview with any registered players in India and ban on access to any of BCCI and members associations owned cricket facilities for a period of two years<\/p>\n<p>The incident was made public on February 19, when Saha tweeted a screenshot of his interaction with the journalist, in which Majumdar threatened the cricketer to attend an interview.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called \u201cRespected\u201d journalist!
