They tried to fix T20 World Cup qualifying matches in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The UAE captain Mohammad Naveed and Shaiman Anwar<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> had breached two rules in the ICC anti-corruption code. They were charged in October 2019, days before the qualifiers started.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to ICC: \u201cbeing party to an agreement or effort to fix or contrive or otherwise influence improperly the result, progress, conduct or another aspect (s) of a match or matches\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ICC did not disclose the specific matches. Both the players have been suspended.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Naveed, fast bowler, was also found guilty of fixing matches in Abu Dhabi based T10 league in 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two United Arab Emirates-based cricketers were found guilty on Tuesday.
