Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is one of the two new franchises that will be taking part in IPL this year. Lucknow was given a purse of INR 90 crore like the other teams to buy players. A privilege to pick three players for INR 33 crore was given to the new franchises. In the Pre-auction pick, Lucknow picked KL Rahul for INR 17 crore, Marcus Stoinis for INR 9.2 crore, and Ravi Bishnoi for INR 4 crore. KL Rahul was also announced as the captain of the side.<\/p>\n

In the IPL Auction 2022 held on 12th<\/sup> and 13th<\/sup> February, Avesh Khan was the most expensive purchase of Lucknow. They bought Avesh Khan for a whopping INR 10 crore. The pacer became the most expensive uncapped player in the history of IPL after his transfer to LSG happened on the day 1 of Auction. Some other expensive buys for LSG were Quinton de Kock (INR 6.75 crore), Krunal Pandya (INR 8.25 crore), Jason Holder (INR 8.75 crore), and Mark wood (INR 7.5 crore).<\/p>\n
