After an intense bidding war between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, Kings bagged Dhawan for INR 8.25 crores.

Surprising, South Africa’s David Miller was the first unsold player in the mega event. Moving forward with the auction, the moment which stunned everyone was when no one bid for Suresh Raina. Since the inaugural season, Raina was a part of the Chennai Super Kings and was considered one of the best T20 batsmen. Raina is also known as Mr IPL for his dominance in IPL. Since the last two seasons, Raina’s performance has dropped significantly, which made him go unsold this season.

Australian cricketer Steve Smith also went unsold. No team was interested in buying one of the most prominent Australian cricketers. On the other hand, Dwayne Bravo was bagged again by Chennai Super Kings. Chennai started the bid for Bravo at INR 2 crore, Sunrisers Hyderabad came in to have a bidding contest with CSK, taking the bid to 3 crores. Delhi then entered the bidding contest at INR 3.4 crore. Chennai, in the end, won the bidding war, bagging Bravo for INR 4.4 crore.

Bangladesh’s cricketing legend Shakib Al Hasan, who provides a team with all three dimensions, whether economical bowling or aggressive batting, also went unsold in the auction. Shakib, in the past, held the record of being ICC’s No. 1 allrounder in all three formats of the game. It was a massive shock for everyone to see the legend go unsold.

David Miller was the first player to go unsold in the Mega event, followed by Suresh Raina, Steve Smith and Shakib Al Hasan.

[3
320,832,718,308,349,318
post-19120","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ipl","tag-chennai-super-kings","tag-david-miller","tag-dj-bravo","tag-dwayne-bravo","tag-steve-smith","tag-suresh-raina
["GET
