Star Australian batsman Steve Smith is hopeful of leading the Delhi Capitals to its maiden title victory in the upcoming season of the IPL.<\/p>\n
Smith, who was released by Rajasthan Royals, was signed by Delhi Capitals for RS 2.2 crore at the IPL auctions last week.<\/p>\n
Smith said, \u201cI am really excited about joining the DC this year. I think the Squad has a great coach and I look forward to getting over there and creating some amazing memories and hopefully, guide the team go one better than last year. Can\u2019t wait guys.\u201d<\/p>\n
Smith has joined Rajasthan Royals franchise in 2019, captained the team in the 2020 edition in the UAE, where they finished last.<\/p>\n
In the IPL Smith has scored 2,333 runs in 95 matches at an average of 35.34 in the IPL.<\/p>\n
