Krishnappa Gowtham got the limelight after he gets picked by Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League auction for a whopping price of 9.25 crore. The all-rounder became the most expensive uncapped Indian player of IPL. Sarandeep Singh even praised Gowtham for his skills and consistency.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you see his domestic record, he has been performing all the time. He has been picked for India A for the last 2-3 years and has been doing consistently well. In fact, in case Ravichandran Ashwin was to get injured or was unfit, we were looking at K Gowtham as a back-up spinner. He was in our minds for ODIs and T20Is as well.\u201d Singh said.<\/p>\n
Singh admitted that the youngster didn\u2019t get a chance because of having plenty of other spin bowlers in the team at the team. 41 years old, Singh called Gowtham unlucky during his tenure.<\/p>\n
