The McLaren driver remains in the fight at the front, but the margin for error is shrinking rapidly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"389\" data-end=\"419\">Here\u2019s the latest from Lusail:<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"421\" data-end=\"424\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"426\" data-end=\"480\"><strong data-start=\"430\" data-end=\"480\">Lap 30\/57 \u2014 Piastri overtakes Antonelli for P3<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"506\">Oscar Piastri is flying.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"508\" data-end=\"729\">With a huge tow down the main straight, the Australian braked much later into Turn 1, <em data-start=\"594\" data-end=\"602\">easily<\/em> passing Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli for third. Antonelli didn\u2019t even attempt a defence as Piastri swept by with confidence.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"731\" data-end=\"785\">McLaren now has both cars firmly inside the top three.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"790\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"792\" data-end=\"848\"><strong data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"848\">Lap 26\/57 \u2014 Norris pits and avoids traffic scare<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"1048\">Lando Norris boxed on Lap 26 and looked dangerously close to rejoining in heavy midfield traffic.<br data-start=\"947\" data-end=\"950\" \/>But McLaren timed it perfectly \u2014 <strong data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1031\">Norris emerged just ahead of Fernando Alonso<\/strong>, who sits sixth.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1050\" data-end=\"1158\">A potentially disastrous situation turned into a rescue job thanks to quick pit work and well-judged timing.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1163\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1211\"><strong data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1211\">Lap 25\/57 \u2014 Piastri pits from the lead<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1235\">Piastri blinked first.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1447\">McLaren called him in on Lap 25 while he was leading the race.
