His previous deal ran until the end of 2023, and with the signing of this contract, the Dutch will be with the Orange Army until the end of 2028. After his victory in 2021, Max jokingly said he wanted to stay with the team for another 10-15 years. The total duration, 7 years, of the new contract is supposedly the longest driver deal ever signed in F1.<\/p>\n<div class=\"f1-article--rich-text\">\n<p>Verstappen said: \u201cI really enjoy being part of Red Bull Racing, so choosing to stay to the 2028 season was an easy decision\u201d as PTI reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch driver also mentioned his long term plans with the team as he announced his extension. His goal with the team, in 2016, was to win a championship.
