The Indian all-rounders Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar recorded the highest 7th wicket partnership against Australia in Test. The duo built a partnership of 123 runs and brought team India right back into the fourth Test against Australia in Brisbane. Shardul Thakur scored wondrous 67 runs and Washington played the knock of 62 runs.<\/p>\n
In a video conference after the end of the day\u2019s play, Shardul disclosed the plan between him and Washington Sundar to tackle the Australian quicks.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth of us have that temperament to succeed at this level, honestly we were not looking at the scoreboard, the idea was to spend some time in the middle. We knew their bowlers were tiring, it was a matter of one hour if we hung in there for one more hour then probably we would be on top,\u201d Shardul Thakur said.<\/p>\n
Shardul and Sundar had not batted much before this game. However, he told that they had a great understanding. They played some rash shots to keep India alive in the match and also kept on communicating that it was important to not throw away their wicket at this stage.<\/p>\n
