He made his comeback for Kerala in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament. He picked up his first wicket in his first match against Puducherry but couldn’t perform well against Mumbai.

The match played between Kerala and Mumbai on 13 January, end with the fickle win of Kerala by 8 wickets. Kerala’s Mohammad Azharuddeen played the quick-witted knock of 137 in just 54 balls and lead his team to victory. Though Kerala won the match with 25 balls to spare, Sreesanth had an off day.
