It\u2019s easier said than done going through a lot of rehab, but there is a lot of time left in his career. We\u2019re going to be there through it all.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Klay Thompson suffered a torn right Achilles tendon, an MRI confirmed today in Los Angeles. Thompson suffered the injury in a workout yesterday in Southern California. He is expected to miss the 2020-21 season.<\/p>\n<p>Curry further added, <strong>\u201cTo get that call was a gut punch for sure. A lot of tears. You don\u2019t really know what to say because a guy like that is having to go through two pretty serious rehabs now. But at the end of the day, we have to have his back. We hope that he is around and a part of what we do through his rehab and staying connected with us.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHe can come back strong. He\u2019s a guy that loves the game so much. He is going to do whatever it takes to get back out there on the floor and be himself. That\u2019s what we hope and the confidence that we have. Two-and-a-half years of rehab is tough for anybody. We\u2019re hoping for the best.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the second consecutive season the 30 year will miss, the first one being the whole of 2019\/20 due to a torn ACL in game 6 of the NBA Finals versus the Toronto Raptors.<\/p>\n<p>Curry and Thompson have developed a great bond on and off the court. They have also been nicknamed the \u2018Splash Brothers\u2019.
