Australian tennis player Thanasi Kokkinakis has made his mark to the finals after knocking down the fourth seed Marin Cilic at the Adelaide International 2 tournament on Friday.<\/p>\n
Kokkinakis defeats Cilic 6-2, 3-6, 7-6(10) in 2hrs 38 minutes, making his reach to the second ATP final since the Los Cabos Open at Mexico in August 2017. Kokkonakis wins against Cilic world ranking 29 in a lengthy tiebreaker fringing the former US Open champion 12-10 in the decider.<\/p>\n
Kokkinakis said in his on-court interview that he was just playing for adrenaline. He also thanked the home crowd for supporting him as he believes they got him through this victory.<\/p>\n
