Two times Olympic champion Andy Murray, will be competing in the men\u2019s singles alongside current British number 1, Dan Evans and will team up with doubles specialist, Joe Salisbury.<\/p>\n
34 year old Murray, has been selected in Britain\u2019s tennis team for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo to defend the title.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Olympics means alot to me. It\u2019s a big honour to be able to compete at a fourth Games.<\/p>\n
Leading Team GB out at the opening ceremony five years ago in Rio was one of the highlights of my career. Going to a second Olympics as defending champion is exciting and I am looking forward to the challenge,\u201d said Murray in a statement.<\/p>\n
British professional, Murray was defeated by Lu Yen-hsun of Taiwan in straight sets, at the Beijing Games in 2008. He won his first Olympic gold medal in 2012 in London by overcoming Roger Federer, weeks after losing to him in the final of Wimbledon tournament. Murray\u00a0then won his another gold medal at the Rio Olympics in year 2016 when he defeated Juan Martin of Argentina.<\/span><\/p>\n Two times gold medalist at the Olympics\u2019 career has been afflicted with multiple injuries over the last three years.
