The club who has made it to the Premier League this season is trying to make a strong squad to compete in the most competitive football league. Despite new manager Erik ten Hag said that Xhaka is not for sale, the player chose to leave and go back to Premier League. \u20ac20 million was the transfer fee agreed between the parties for the midfielder.<\/p>\n<p>Newly-promoted Premier League side Sunderland have reached an agreement to sign Granit Xhaka from Bayer Leverkusen on a three-year deal running until June 2028.<\/p>\n<p>The Black Cats, who are preparing for their first season back in England\u2019s top flight, are building a competitive squad to survive and thrive in the Premier League. Xhaka\u2019s arrival is a major statement of intent, adding experience and leadership to their midfield.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Leverkusen manager Erik ten Hag insisting the Swiss international was not for sale, Xhaka opted for a return to England.
