A few weeks back, news broke out that Indian captain Virat Kohli would be taking a paternal leave and flying to India after the 1st Test match in Adelaide on December 17 for the birth of his child. The 32 year old will still be available for the T20 and ODI series as captain.<\/p>\n
Ajinkya Rahane was named as vice captain in the Test squad and will eventually be taking over from Kohli as captain for the remaining 3 Test matches.<\/p>\n
Fans have wondered how Rahane\u2019s approach will be as a captain in comparison to the aggressive approach Virat Kohli opts and the way he leads the team. Australian batsman David Warner has had his say on the temporary change of captain.<\/p>\n
The 34 year old said \u201cHe\u2019s calm and very measured in his approach. He\u2019s got a very good cricket brain, it\u2019s like chalk and cheese with them two (Kohli and Rahane) and as a player to try and engage him on the field, as we\u2019re talking about engaging, and getting into that contest as players, it\u2019s obviously lots to think about how to do that especially with Ajinkya as captain,\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe great thing from India\u2019s perspective is that you\u2019ve got three if not four very good players who could captain the team at any time.
